aparte de buen futbol, buena lucha. Siempre pierna fuerte holanda, sobre todo este equipo de los 70, muy pegador y de choque. argentina tampoco no le hace asco al juego brusco ni al sucio. De esa forma, es natural que teniendo a kempes de atropellada, a bertoni intratable y a gallego incansable, argentina terminara por ganar en un partido parejo.
otra final del mundo con fútbol del mejor gracias a holanda. ya la del 74 fue buenísima, y esta también. Obliga a jugar bien al rival, lastima que el rival juegue mejor y gane. Fenómeno lo de passarella, ganando en las dos áreas y pegando codazos en todas las divididas. que gran zurda, que gran salto y que gran codo. Enorme lo de neeskens aguantando a kempes y exigiendo a gallego. Extraordinario primer tiempo de olguin, con lujos y todo. De otro planeta lo de fillol, sin el no solo no era campeon argentina, sino que perdia por goleada. Triste lo de resenbrink, no pudo enganchar nunca el partido pero casi lo gana al final. partidazo!!!
Une excellente finale avec une première mi-temps surtout argentine. Mais que leur a dit Menotti au vestiaire pour reculer autant en seconde mi-temps. L'égalisation néerlandaise est entièrement méritée même si les 2 équipes auraient pu marquer davantage. Toutefois, respect à Neeskens d'être resté sur le terrain avec toutes ses blessures. Un coup de gueule contre la télévision argentine de l'époque ;=: pourquoi n'avons nous jamais vu le ralenti du poteau de Rensenbrink puis quel foutoir ce début de match avec le bandage de Van de Kerkhof...

With all respect to all Argentinians, Argentina didn't deserve to win this tournament. they should have never been in final in the first place. everyone knows it. In final they were playing more with their hands than their feet. no cautions whatsoever. In today's standard would have been yellow or red card. The technical and tactical ability of the dutch was way superior than Arg and any team in that tourney and era. Fillol saved Arg big time. score should have been easy 4-2 holland. Unfortunately playing away in a hostile stadium and all the political agenda behind this game and tournament, Cruyff being threatened to stay away due to kidnapping, probably was a better choice to lose for the dutch side than win. Arg would have erupted into big revolution if they lost. This win was country's life line. Its a pity that two consecutive WC, this dutch side had to play host in final. One of the greatest dutch side and team ever assembled. If Cruyff participated in this WC, there would be no chance for any team even coming close. If Arg here are feeling insulted i am sorry but facts are facts if you critically watch and analyze football. Arg was a great side with likes of Passarella, Kempes, Bertoni, Ardiles... but nothing like the other side of the pitch. You can be proud of well deserved WC 86 with Maradona, whom i believe there is nothing comparable to him still to-date. , even i would give you 90 (a one sided pre-decided ugly game in final with awful ref who probably got paid to make the Germans champions, all run by Italian mafia and garbage FIFA, just to destroy Maradona who scored against Italy).

You certainly didn't watch this game! If you want it's your right to keep living inside your dreams. However, because you spoke publicly I had to let you know that the reality is very different than your imagination. It was a very close match and the Argentinians showed better physical shape and strong determination and will. The match was clearly won in the extra time when the better team was Argentina.

Esta fue mi primera vez en ver el partido por completo. Como fanático del fútbol, fue un honor ver a figuras como Fillol, Passarella, Galván, Tarantini (que estaba sin club), Ardiles, Bertoni, Luque, Kempes fue extraordinario. Al igual que ver las figuras de la “Naranja Mecánica del 74’” con cuatro años más de experiencia. Figuras como Jongbloed, el capitán Rep, los gemelos van de Kerkhoff , Jansen, Neeskens, Rep y Rosenbrink. Una final muy bien disputada y muy estratégica de parte de ambos equipos. El primer tiempo fue dominado por la gran presión de Argentina. Bellísimo gol del “Matador” Kempes, con un coraje y determinación fenomenal! El segundo tiempo gran dominio del equipo holandés que fue en busca del empate y lo logró con sólo ocho minutos del final. No pude creer la oportunidad que se perdió Rob Resenbrink con una zurda “de primera”, que pega en el poste derecho del arquero Fillol, casi al término del partido! En el tiempo suplementario me gusta mucho la alenga de Menotti. Obviamente también me encantó ver el gran oportunismo, concentración y determinación de Kempes en anotar al final del primer tiempo suplementario. Extraordinario! En el segundo gol del tiempo suplementario, me gusto mucho ver la doble pared entre Kempes y Bertoni. Gran finiquito del delantero (en aquel entones de Independiente) argentino. Lamento que el gran Johan Cruyff no haya decidido participar en este Mundial! Me hubiera encantado ver al “Matador” Kempes contra el genio de Cruyff! Me encantó escuchar los comentarios y las anécdotas de Mario Kempes. Muy interesante! Un pequeño dato anecdótico de Kempes, que siempre admiro. Uno de los últimos equipos en el que él jugó, tras 24 años de futbolista profesional, fue Fernandez Vial, un equipo en la octava región de Chile y que, en el aquel entonces estaba en la segunda división del fútbol Chileno. Admirable! Grande “Matador”!

Una lastima que se haya jugado en esa cancha, los 2 equipos eran de una gran calidad, habría sido un mejor espectáculo en un mejor terreno de juego.
Tenia 8 anos cuando vi este partido. Fue mi primer mundial de futbol. Buenísimo el recuerdo aunque hubiese sido mucho mejor con el audio original.
Mejores de Holanda en el partido: Haan y Krol.
Mejores jugadores de Argentina en ese partido: Kempes y Fillol. Passarella, Berton y Ardiles (mientras estuve en la cancha) también fueran bien.
Kempes é mucha bola
Great to watch this tournament in its entirety as it was the first World Cup I watched as a child. However, the final was a tough watch. The people giving it 5 stars much be Argentinians I imagine. The histrionics at every piece of physical contact was astonishing. Having said that I was so pleased for Bertoni that he managed to score the third goal after acting like he would never walk again just 10 minutes earlier. Argentina always have been, and, sadly, always will be, a team that pushes the boundaries of fair play and sportsmanship.
We learned from the best, England 1966. I invite everyone to watch that full game here and deny this: Stiles trying to injure our players since the first minute. English forwards playing rough and then diving as soon as they are answered with the same roughness. The Referee becoming blind when the player that throws a fist is English, yet having Falcon sight when it is an Argie. And then the famous "violence of the tongue"= expelled. (The ref could not speak a word of Spanish).
